Corrective Peels
Tailored Actives for Brighter Skin
Peels are a gentle form of exfoliation. Instead of using a physical scrub to remove skin cells, we use an acid or enzyme to eliminate dead cells and resurface the upper layers of the skin. Peels help lift away the dead skin cells that sit on the surface, an excess of which can cause dullness, congestion, and an uneven complexion.
A skin peel not only brightens the skin but also stimulates healthier skin, keeps blemishes at bay, and addresses pigmentation concerns.
At ORA, we offer a curated menu of peels from leading brands, including Obagi, Skinceuticals, Alumier, and Mesoesthetic.
Don’t worry—despite the extensive menu, we keep it simple for our clients. All you need to do is to choose 'corrective peel' when booking, and your aesthetician will choose the most appropriate one for you, taking into consideration your goals and skin health.

A Must for Smooth, Clear, Bright Skin
So Much More than Simple Exfoliation
In a world where aesthetic advances are rapid, it's easy to overlook some of the oldest, safest, and most effective treatments for skin rejuvenation. Enter: Corrective Peels.
Despite the impression that images of skin peeling may give, modern peels are gentle, progressive treatments that target concerns at the cellular level, rather than just exfoliating the skin's top layer. As a result, they stimulate collagen production and ensure the effective delivery of active skincare ingredients to the skin—overall offering resurfacing, brightening, and rejuvenating benefits.

The ORA Difference
Progressive Rather than Aggressive
At ORA, our corrective peel involves use a blend of skin-kind acids to gently dissolve or ‘peel’ away dead skin cells, while stimulating the growth of new, healthy cells. We believe that there’s a chemical peel to suit every skin type and concern. And once you find one that works for you, you’ll enjoy luminosity like never before.
Better Penetration of Homecare
Homecare is the cornerstone of your skin health and our ORA plans. Unfortunately, as we age, we retain dead surface cells for longer, which can hinder the absorption of your homecare actives. By incorporating corrective peels into your routine, you’ll ensure that your recommended homecare performs at its best.
Brighter, Tighter SKin without Downtime
Our corrective Peels are customisable for all skin types and all skin concerns. They don't just leave skin beautifully smooth, but they also work to soften the appearance of fine lines, tighten pores and enhance glow. All with nearly no downtime.

Your Treatment, Elevated
At ORA, our wide range of advanced clinical peels use the highest quality ingredients and blends of transformative acids, enzymes and botanicals from leading brands to deliver outstanding results for all skin types. All of our peel treatments can be customised to suit your skin goals and are the perfect add on to other procedures to enhance results.
Corrective Peels also feature in each of our transformative tech-driven Clinical Facials. Consider upgrading your peel appointment to a Glow: Flawless Filter Facial which incorporates brightening peel, with tightening laser genesis, hydrating multi-masking and rejuvenating Dermalux LED for optimal skin health.
More Information
Prior to treatment, the skin is cleansed and analysed. Once the appropriate peel is chosen it is applied directly to the prepared skin. There may be mild stinging/heat sensation during the peel. Following treatment, skin may be red, tight, swollen or irritated. You will be given post peel instructions which must be followed to avoid complication. With light or medium peels, more than one treatment may be needed for desired results.
Hyaluronic acid fillers are non-permanent and will naturally break down over time. We require that all clients have separate consultation before undergoing dermal filler treatment. This allows you time to discuss the treatment in detail with your aesthetic doctor and to ensure you are happy with the plan.
Clients with a dysfunctional skin barrier, sensitivity or those who have had intense sun exposure in the two weeks pre-peel should discuss the treatment with their ORA doctor in advance of making an appointment for a peel.
Allergy to any of the ingredients including salicylic acid (aspirin) is a contraindication to some peels. Please discuss in advance with your ORA doctor.
It is very important that you avoid using retinoids (vitamin A) and all exfoliating acids for 5 days prior to your corrective peel. If you have sensitive skin, we recommend stopping these products 7 days pre-peel. It is also important to avoid intense sun exposure for 2 weeks pre-peel. We also do not recommend having any other skin, beauty or aesthetic treatments in the two weeks before a peel (includes brow treatments).
For medium depth peels it is vital that you stick rigidly to the protocol set out by your doctor in the weeks leading up to your peel. Read our information leaflet here for full guidance.
We believe in a progressive rather than aggressive approach to the skin. You may experience slight heat or tingling in the skin but generally this is described as mild to moderate.
Little to up to 72 hours of redness and peeling. Medium depth (TCA) peels will come with more downtime which your doctor will discuss with you in advance.
Within 1 week of treatment your skin will appear more radiant best results are seen a week after completion of your recommended course of treatment. Adherence to the pre and post homecare advised will further amplify results as it is designed to nourish your skin optimally.
For the majority of clients we recommend 3-4 treatments, 1 month apart. Often we will create a bespoke combined journey for you that may include a corrective peel in addition to other stimulating and collagen building modalities. Every skin is unique and we believe in building protocols that are as unique as your skin.
