Find Relief from Teeth Grinding with Masseter Botox
Discover relief from bruxism (teeth clenching and grinding) with specialised Botox treatments at ORA. Our masseter treatments target the underlying causes of bruxism, reducing the strength of the overactive chewing muscles. This treatment can provide both a reduction in discomfort and protection for your teeth. Where the muscle has become enlarged due to excess clenching and grinding, you may also achieve desirable facial slimming with this treatment.
Understanding Bruxism and Bruxism Treatments
Bruxism is a common condition characterised by excessive grinding or clenching of teeth. It often occurs during sleep and may go undetected until a dentist notices damaged teeth. Others can experience significant jaw pain or a widening of their lower face due to this repetitive behaviour.
The Science of Masseter Botox
Bruxism treatments at ORA involve the use of Botox injections to relax the muscles responsible for excessive clenching and grinding. By targeting these muscles with precision injections, treatment can effectively reduce tension in the jaw thereby reducing discomfort and protecting the teeth from further damage associated with bruxism.

During your appointment, our expert doctors will assess your symptoms and the strength of your masseter muscles to determine a suitable and custom plan to meet your needs. For new clients, we recommend pairing your appointment with a consultation where our expert doctors will discuss your wider aesthetic and skin goals and create a tailored treatment plan to enhance your natural beauty and help you to achieve your skin goals.

Benefits of Masseter Botox
Reduces Jaw Pain and Muscle Tension:
By relaxing the muscles responsible for clenching bruxism treatments can alleviate tension, discomfort and pain associated with clenching and grinding.
Protects teeth:
Excessive clenching and grinding can cause damage to teeth, crowns, implants and veneers. By reducing the strength of the chewing muscles, teeth are protected from being subject to excessive forces.
Slims the lower face:
Where muscles are overused, they can enlarge. As the masseter muscle which is responsible for clenching and grinding enlarges, it can cause a widening of the lower face. Reducing the strength of this muscle, allows the face to slim as the muscle returns to its natural size.
